The series I saw on television when I was 11 or so and which I believe pulled me to the sea.
The music is still haunting me and when I found this site on the web, downloaded the clip by clicking on the picture a wealth of emotions flooded back. Fantastic feeling when I heard 'Spartacus' of Kachaturian.
The story of James and his ship the "Charlotte Rhodes", his beautiful sister Elizabeth and Baines, my big hero.

Some background of the "Charlotte Rhodes". She was a three-masted topsail schooner, built in Denmark in 1904 and originally named "Eva". She sailed the Scandinavian waters named "Meta Jan" before she became famous in the series.
